Our long standing relationship with the Trades Union movement is central to the answer and in 2016 we registered Union Insurance Association as a trading name of UIA (Insurance) Ltd, to help make it clear where our values lie. Being mutual means we are owned by our policyholders; which enables us to keep premiums low, provide excellent products and employ highly trained staff.
We are also proud to be members of the International Co-operative and Mutual Insurance Federation and the Association of Financial Mutuals. Our customer service team always gives customers the time they need on the phone; there's no pressure to keep calls short and we can deal with any enquiry you have, from underwriting or claims, to account queries by either phone or email.

Our cover comes in two levels: Flexi and Signature.
Our Flexi Cover is designed to be flexible, allowing you to choose additional cover should you need it.
If you find yourself in a home emergency, our Home Emergency Cover means we will appoint a suitably qualified contractor to visit your home.
We cover the costs (within policy limits) by paying their bills, including parts, labour and call out charges.
