Musicians Insurance Services
We are a leading insurance broker in the music industry and part of the Bryan James Group. In the late 1970s, Musician Insurance Services became a separate division in the Bryan James Company, providing cover for musical instruments solely across the UK. Today, we are recognised by entertainers and musicians, as well as other insurance brokers as market leaders.

Let us guide you through the insurance jungle, making sure your precious musical instruments and equipment are properly protected at the most reasonable cost. Remember, when you're dealing through a broker such as Musicians Insurance Services, you do not pay any extra and the professional advice and service comes free. Our policies have been designed completely for musician's and we will cover everything from DJs, discos and electronic equipment right through to brass and woodwind instruments.

Folk and percussion and the entire range of string instruments can also be insured, as well as cover for Choral groups including barbershop and specialist choirs.
Services
Have you ever had any musical instruments stolen in the last 5 years, whether insured or not?
Have you ever been convicted of, or is any prosecution pending for any criminal offence (other then motoring offences)?
Have you ever been refused insurance, or had special terms or conditions imposed by an insurance company?
The summary only provides an outline of the cover.
It does not detail all the terms/conditions/exclusions of cover, full details may be found in the Policy Booklet, a copy of which is available on request.
Our polices are designed to cover you whether you are an amateur, semi-professional or professional musician.
The cover offered on this Policy is All Risks within the territorial scope that you have selected and shown on your Policy Schedule.
Items can be covered for premises only, UK and Europe as well as full worldwide.
You have the right to cancel your policy within 14 days of inception or renewal, providing no claims or losses have been reported, and your premium will be refunded.
Our policy last for 12 months as standard, we may be able to offer short term cover depending on circumstances.
Yes, it is the item that is covered but not the person.
However, if your friend refuses to return it you cannot claim because you handed the item over to them.
If the instrument no longer works due to damage caused by an accident it will be covered.
Working as a musician is deemed to be manual labour and is exempt on standard travel insurance?
Musicians insurance Services offer a travel insurance policy that will cover your activities when you leave these shores to perform as a musician or entertainer which can be tailored to suit your destination, number of trips and length of trips taken in a year.
Our rates start from as little as 27.00 for a single trip rate for a 7 day trip to Europe and all policies can be extended to cover full worldwide* cover as well as multiple trips throughout the year.
We will give you 7 days notice in writing to the last address you have given us and we will give you a refund of any money you have paid for the policy year after the cancellation date.
If you are an individual/sole trader (including a partnership in England and Wales) buying a policy which provides cover for you in both a private and business capacity, you have the right to cancel your policy during a period of 14 days either from the day of purchase or renewal of the contract or the day on which you receive your policy or renewal documentation, which ever is the later.
