John's insurance career began in 1982, with Lloyd's broker Stewart Wrightson.
In 1992 he was appointed a director of Nicholson Leslie Aviation and non-executive director of Edward Lumley Holdings, a UK holding company with subsidiaries worldwide.
In 1997 he was appointed an executive director of Aon Aviation and, four years later, set up Global Aviation Insurance Network, of which he is still a director.
He has been a director of what is now Lumley Insurance since 2003.
Christopher, a graduate of Oxford Brookes University's Business Administration course, began his insurance career in 1984, when he joined Edward Lumley & Sons.
